STORIES & TESTIMONIES
James Farmer
I started coming along to the Kings Arms when I came to university in Bedford and having come from a fairly conservative, traditional anglican church at home, found the change quite a challenge at first. It was during these first few weeks however that I felt especially welcomed to the church family as a new student in the town, which made the change much easier to get used to. I now really appreciate the worship and fellowship of the Kings Arms and feel it is exactly what I need as a young Christian, in order to carry on growing in my faith. Since being at the Kings Arms and hanging out with other young Christians at a similar stage in their lives as me, I have found a whole new level to my relationship with God and want to keep progressing with it. The Kings Arms has really helped me enjoy worship and feel part of one big family and I'd recommend the church to any young Christian wanting to develop their faith and get to know God more.

Since starting DeMontfort University in September 2003 Christ has done an amazing work in my life; much of which has been supported and encouraged by both the Kings Arms Church and Student Society. Arriving in Bedford from my home country, Gibralter, I was met with such an incredible welcome by the church that I felt settled straight away. Over the course of the past two years I have come to see the Kings Arms as my home, not because of the place but because of the individual people that make church ‘life together’ and not only a Sunday meeting. The students I have come to know are now some of my closest friends and I praise God with thanks for all that He has provided through the Kings Arms Church and Student Society, without which I would of, struggled to stay at University.

Hey guys, I stumbled across the Kings Arms in the first week of being in Bedford, and what an amazing time it's been since! I have gained so much since being at the Kings Arms and the KA Society. God has powerfully moved in and through my life since being at uni. I came from a Christian home, so I knew the score about Christ, but it wasn't until I came to Bedford and decided ‘yes', I do want to live my time at uni for my Heavenly Father. I felt I had two clear options, whether to carry on down the road of the student culture or to live for Christ. Though it's not always been the easy road, my family at the Church have always been there to help. Being in Bedford has created a firm foundation on which God is now building upon. Through the church and the society I have made some of my best friends, whereby Jesus is at the centre of each relationship. My encouragement to all students coming to Bedford is to try out the Kings Arms and experience it for yourself.
